This is definitely a band that you should know, be listening to, and keeping an eye on. Saw this video originally on some On Demand channel, Havoc or something, and went to iTunes and bought it immediately - and the rest of the album, Death in the Garden, Blood on the Flowers, because yeah - I needed it that quickly ... however, I don't like the Digital Rights protection that Apple uses, nor am I totally impressed with the "Lossless" audio compression that they claim, bec... I got a private show from Irving when they swung through DC in Nov. They played an unannounced set before my friends The Fake Accents at Rock & Roll Hotel. I may not have mentioned this before, but I LOVE this band. I used to play tracks off of Good Morning Beautiful on my old radio show all the time, but Death in the Garden, Blood on the Flowers is _easily one of my favorite albums of this past year_. i was s'posed to be in this video but didn't have a girlfriend and refused to make out with a stranger, or worse, a friend. still, this is one of my favorite songs of theirs and the video came out way better than i expected. three cheers for making out!!!

I made it from Santa Monica to Hollywood in 25 minutes on an empty stomach to catch Irving play a short, but sweet set. Penny sent over an advance of the album some time ago and I was totally crushing on their Beach Boys-ey melodies. I didn't care what they were singing about. I wanted into the Fonda Theatre just as they were playing their first song. After a little amp trouble and a cover of "Be My Baby," the show went on.
