Grace Potter and the Nocturnals is a Vermont-based band that gained national attention with sell-out tours. The band blends funky blues, gospel and rock from the sixties and early seventies. Leading vocalist is 22-year-old Grace Potter. She plays the Hammond B3, piano and guitar. Let me start by telling you that I grew up listening to Led Zeppelin and loved Robert Plant as only a 17 year old girl of that era could. You never could have told me then that I would be just as in love with this new version of the Zep classic sung by a women, and futher call it a searingly hot rendition more than good enough to compare with the original.
