Fleetwood Mac (formed in July 1967) are an influential and commercially successful Anglo-American band, who have had a high turnover of personnel and varied levels of success. "Silver Springs" was recorded for, but bumped from, the original running order of Rumours, Fleetwood Mac's follow-up to their eponymous Platinum disc. Watching Nicks here one finds it difficult to believe it was once considered second-rate material. Fleetwood Mac hasn't been the same since Christine McVie retired from touring in 1998. Frontwoman Stevie Nicks has expressed previously that she's not interested in Mac without McVie, so who could fill her shoes? How about Stevie's gal-pal Sheryl Crow? I've mentioned in other posts my distaste for the band Fleetwood Mac, but I've noticed something. Every once in a while an artist who normally has some buzz comes out with an album and isn't getting any buzz anymore. Pencil in a cover of "Landslide" to their repertoire. 1so by now the fire at my school is national news. two dead, one injured, thousands affected. i can't really explain why i feel so moved by this tragedy. i didn't know the victims or any of their friends or family. maybe it's just because this is the third such tragedy that has happened at my school since i came here in september. last semester i lived in the hyatt regency in cambridge because it served as overflow housing for students because there wasn't enough room on ...
