Until this week, when Rhapsody added non-DRM MP3 downloads, it was impossible to redeem the Rhapsody downloads earned with "My Coke Rewards" points.   However, it can be done now!  Here's the method:

1. Go to Rhapsody and create a free (limited to 25 song plays) account.
   
2. Go to My Coke Rewards and choose the Rhapsody song download reward you want (either unspecified, Rap, or Country) and write down the coupon code on the next page.

This brings back memories of my childhood. My favorite bands at the time, were and stiil are Sabbath and Zeppelin. But I had a friend at the time that was really into this band.

Have been listening to some really old School music lately. Music my older sisters used to listen to. Some of it holds up pretty well. I didn't realize how ironic Electric Light Orchestra is, until I reviewed the lyrics as an adult. They really sound like a pop update to the Beatles' orchestral work. Yes, Electric Light Orchestra were once really cool too!! Here's an awesome track from their second album...which saw Jeff Lynne take full control, but still far away from any of those huge hit singles. There's a lot going on, not just with all the proto-metal string motifs, but the mix is crazy...especially towards the last verse with the drums mixed out. Enjoy!

Mashups have limited appeal. By this, I mean that if you are not familiar with the two (or more) tracks being "mashed", they fail to impress, and there is no reason to listen to them. So, being firmly ensconced in old fart-dom, I need mashups of old songs, i.e. ELO's "Evil Woman", the Supremes' "Stop! In The Name Of Love" and a touch of Michael Jackson's "Bad".

I've been working on a song for a quite appalling length of time now, and its title - "Classic Rock" - is essentially its subject. What I wanted to create was a tribute to the kind of music that, since the punk movement, has far too often been dismissed by critics and self-anointed connoisseurs as "overproduced" (see my post explaining why Queen is the second greatest rock band of all time for further details on the subject). I think Jeff Lynne is a god, and feel a genuine bewilderment that ELO is not everyone's favorite band.

Well..... have no much to say... i love this clip and the song (has real pure 80s). I have discover the song searching for this animation from Hideaki Anno, director of Evangelion, one of the most incredible stories of Animation History. I have study  and now working on Animation Studio on composition.   XD
