I've been to see Crowded House and Neil Finn playing solo a lot of times over the years, and every single time - no matter what the venue, and no matter in which country, the sound is superb. Every single lyric is clearly audible, which is a real treat. It makes the live experience even better than listening to recordings. It spoils it for enjoying gigs by other artists, where the vocals are consistently drowned out, or where the singer's natural tone is spoiled by th... MORE
I've had a pretty amazing month for catching old favorites in live settings. In the past 30 days, I've seen The Police at Dodger Stadium and Paul McCartney at Amoeba Records. But I honestly think last night topped both of those. Seeing Neil Finn and Crowded House in my favorite venue in Los Angeles, the 300-capacity Troubadour, was the treat of a lifetime. They started with a ripping version of one of my favorites, "Locked Out," then tore through a 90-minute set that fea... MORE
Just can’t get enough of the remarkable tunesmith Neil Finn - leader, singer-guitarist, and chief songwriter of the well-loved New Zealand/Australian rock ensemble Crowded House. Although he recorded a couple of solid solo projects (and two pleasing albums with his brother and frequent collaborator Tim Finn), we’ve heard nothing truly new from Crowded House in years. Understandably. Neil, bassist Nick Seymour, and drummer Paul Hester were the foundation of the band durin... MORE

As if a Coachella performance wasn't enough to please fans of the Melbourne based band, Crowded House are releasing a new album next year, after an 11 year hiatus.
From the BBC:
Revived band Crowded House are to release an album this year, more than a decade after they originally split.
And here's a reminder of what they do so well...
Crowded House is one of the Greatest. Pop. Bands. Ever. Blame this post on Blair. However, I will thumb-wrestle anyone who feels differently. How can you not adore: -the harmonies?-the jangling guitars?-the unabashedly romantic lyrics?-the pure pop shiny brilliance? Crowded House is better than Paxil. As evidence, I offer the following: Fall At Your Feet, from Woodface (1991) Into Temptation, from Temple of Low Men (1991) Weather With You, from Woodface... MORE

Crowded House are reforming! Hoorah!
so this glastonbury it could be tones of reunions. RATM, Genesis, Crowded House, Smashing Pumpkins, Blur, who knows ?!
Anyone who has been living in a cave since the 80's, go listen to 'Nails in My Feet' for a taster.
Some ten years ago, Crowded House said farewell to the world in a final concert in front of 120,000 fans in Sydney at the Opera House. The CD and DVD of this concert is out, reminding the world what a great band Crowded House was.
