For me, chants in music are the equivalent of abstract art; you rorschach yourself into a meaning and vibe. To listen to a song like this for the first time in over half a year... I remember when I first heard this song. I fell in love with it. And it got me into some more stuff from this group who've since, sadly, broken up. Quite possibly one of the best non-new wave/technopop songs that mainstream will never understand.
