Calvin Harris and Vegas. There is something about this song. It makes me want to go to Vegas. I miss the smell of heavy cigarette smoke, the lights and sounds of all the slot machines. The all you can eat buffets. If there is a time to go it might be before the summer really settles in because it can get waaaaaay hot over there. Heat and Pat don't mix well.

Ever since I've stepped into college, I have unlearned myself from operating a television. Take one part Har Mar Superstar, one part Chromeo, and one part Jamiroquai and fill glass halfway. Fill the rest with some seriously funky disco electro and you've got yourself Calvin Harris. I don't know how I missed this guy. This is seriously good mix cd material here. He's got some smooth and very danceable music. Check it out. He's all over the blogosphere.

Maybe it's all the coffee I've been drinking...but lately I've been really into dance music. I just discovered this Scottish guy named Calvin Harris, who has a new album out called "I Created Disco." This song has gotten right up my nose. In a crazy tickling way…I want to scratch. I have to sneeze. Damn...it’s infected my sinus. Since returning from the UK, I have heard it in my head, multiple times. It's like I am channeling the guy. I am surprised that none of our across the pond moggers have even mentioned this guy. I really really think the new Calvin Harris album is better than this last LCD release (duck and cover) and I want to thank the Disconappers for helping me realize it. I have an early appointment on Saturday mornings and I find myself listening to an import show on Indie 103.1 here in town during my commute. They've been playing this one track by Calvin Harris called 'Merrymaking'(I think) for several weeks now. Apparently he's Scottish and I can't quite get a handle on the sound.
Any thoughts moggers?
