This is not my original idea but it belongs to someone who I don't think posts here anymore, but it's a great idea none-the-less. Here's my album of the day, just finished listening to it and now I'm off to do some food shopping. Looks like Bob's been hitting the gym!

Just fyi in case anyone hasn't heard: Bob Mould has come out with a new album and is going to tour in March. Not in Michigan though :( Anyway, you can listen to the whole thing (legally and free) online before you buy here. I'm partway through my first listen and will reserve judgment for later.

Ok, so ive been quiet for a while and this is fairly old news, but i popped along to the Roundhouse to see Bob Mould preview new tracks from his upcoming album 'District line' (Feb 11th release?). Morrisey, starting his first date of a weeklong stint took the main stage with Bob off in one of the side rooms housing no more than 40 people. The legendary frontman for Husker Du and Sugar, Bob Mould kicks off a tour of North America on March 5th. This time he will be promoting his new album District Line, instead of the live DVD "Circle of Friends" which was the focus of his last tour. District Line features Fugazi's Brendan Canty on drums, but I'm not sure if Canty will join Mould on the tour or not. Anyway, Mould is back with a new solo album, District Line, due Feb. 2 on Anti-, the label that Tom Waits and Nick Cave and my fave singer/songwriter Jolie Holland all record for, and this preview suggests that the album is gonna be a winner.
