Black Lips also have a new video out today, for "It Feels Alright" off Good Bad Not Evil. It was filmed at Atlanta's rap-famous Magic City:
They were the words of Julius Ceaser and now the Black Lips are adding a little rock to the famous Latin phrase. The track is off the group's first album for Vice records Good Bad, Not Evil. The Atlanta-based indie rockers will tour the US this winter and follow-up in the UK this May. It's not new news.
But have you ever had one of those songs that is just contagiously catchy get stuck in your head?
I'm not talking about "this is the song that gets on everybody's nerves" ... but a ... song that is much more adult?
I burst out randomly in the middle of a maths test with "Bad Kids" by the Black Lips. Yeah. That was awkward. But at least my teacher's chill and laughed it off. Thank god.
They sound like four dudes who spent a lot of time listening to classic rock records, but they sure know how to bring it when they play. We're talking about none other than the Black Lips who have terrorized stages this summer at both Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza. The Atlanta band's new album, Good Bad, Not Evil? hits stores September 11th.

Grimy, sleazy, booze-drenched garage punk is back, and it was on full display on Saturday at the Logan Square Auditorium. Black Lips ready crazy Vice debutNever the type to take the conventional route, Vice decided to ship the Black Lips off to Tijuana, Mexico to record a live album that would serve as the band’s label debut.
