Last night Ben Folds showed off his new album Way To Normal on Late Night With Conan O'Brien with a performance of the album's first single "You Don't Know Me." The song also features the adorable Regina Spektor, who steals the show. Fold's Way To Normal dropped this past week. The piano man is currently on his iTunes sponsored tour where a total of 10 live tracks from 10 differrent tour stops will be recorded and made avabilable the next day via the iTunes store... MORE

i just found out that ben folds' wife's name is fleur folds. that's pretty nifty. my love for ben folds speaks no name. he is awesome. i saw him on a japanese tv show once-- it was this cheesy music show. he just played a song and then the mc asked him if he liked any japanese musicians. i think he mentioned cornelius but the mc didn't care, he wasn't even listening. the mc then asked,what about morning musume? and ben folds yelled, "yeah and kinki kids are the sh... Ben Folds leaked a pair of tracks. One of them is "You Don’t Know Me" (download below), a catchy little ditty that found Folds doing what he does best — squeezing a few more drops of blood out of the stone that is the pop breakup song.
Another from Chris Brown and T-pain . This Freeze collaboration is ear-friendly copmred to their former one which was totally annoying, and I know you happen to agree with me this time.

Not a single song on Way To Normal, released yesterday (in the UK; today in the states) is truly memorable. Not a single chorus could I convincingly sing back to you, right now. I mentioned that Ben Folds would be on Conan last night, and here’s the video! Whoo! Figured most of you would enjoy watching it. Watch the music video for the song too. It was directed by Tim and Eric from Adult Swim’s Tim and Eric Awesome Show and is really weird, and pretty funny.

I said it awhile ago , and I will reiterate it here again. Ben Folds just might be the best performer to ever play the piano. Now, and somewhat to hedge my bets, I don’t mean that he is the most technically gifted person to ever tickle the ivories. Nor does he possess more talent in this eight fingers and two thumbs {and sometimes elbows, fists, stools, etc.} than anyone else who has ever lived. Here’s a nice little heads up for you. Ben Folds is going to be singing is first single, “You Don’t Know Me”, with special guest Regina Spektor tonight on Conan. I don’t know about you, but I plan on watching that. Should be good stuff.

Ben Folds is back with his newest solo effort, and fans of his older work with Ben Folds Five are gonna eat this album up. Since 1995 Ben Folds has been best known for quirky piano-based pop rock first and foremost. His work with Ben Folds Five (really only a trio) highlighted that goofy, tongue in cheek nature, and his solo material took it to a new level. On his new record Way to Normal, Folds starts to take off the oddball mask and reveals a true human being underneath, without sacrificing the quirkiness that's been his mark of trade for so long.
