The man that brought the world Backstreet Boys and NSYNC is going to jail for 25 years....and not for bringing the world the Backstreet Boys and NSYNC. Lou Pearlman, often painted by his former clients as a monster, has been sentenced to 25 years in prison by a Florida judge. So ... contrary to what you may have thought, the Backstreet Boys are still a group and in fact have a new album coming out. The album is due in October, and the first single is called "Inconsolable," written by the same scribe behind Nick Lachey's "What's Left of Me." This will mark the Boys first album as a quartet, following the departure of Kevin Richardson - one of the bearded ones. The Backstreet Boys have a new single out that is sure to send people screaming - 12 year-olds for joy and the rest of us in agony. “Inconsolable” will make it to radio August 27th. I dont know about the rest of you guys, but I've just been DYING for an autographed N'Sync poster. In the aftermath of that Lou Pearlman disaster ,the feds have started to auction off his belongings to recover some of the money he's stolen over the years. Some of the auction goodies include:

So, as noted in the previous post, I've recently moved to S. Korea and so far I've heard a ton of hip-hop and bubblegummy pop music blasting from various cars and storefronts; sometimes it's Korean, but often it's American (they didn't get the memo here that Backstreet Boys lost their shine in 2001; keep in mind that I am an ardent supporter of "I Want It That Way.")
