So I've been rather stressed out about some particular things for the past 24 hours. The kind of stress that makes you want to take both hands, grab your hair, pull downwards, and hold that position with your eyes staring upward for awhile. First off, I quite enjoy this band, Annuals. I find their music strikingly complex, and quite the mysterious journey even after repeated listens. Whenever I go on my Be He Me kicks, I often end up listening to the album straight through four - even five - times. Every song on the album is a gem in my opinion. A gem with intense brilliance and fire bursting through after you polish the dust off of your ears and see beyond what may have initially appeared like impurities... MORE

This is the band that i don't know how to write about. Be He Me has not been noticeable in the indie rock world. Am I wrong?

Digging this album today. Check out my favorite tracks: Carry Around <<< catchy chorus Brother <<< rocks out when you least expect it to Dry Clothes <<< interesting song structure. There's a lot more going on here than I initially heard. I love songs that reveal themselves in layers. If you can deal with the bizarro yelping and screaming in the background of some of the songs, you'll come to appreciate how it adds to the character of the overall sound. Enjoy! ... MORE
