Fairground

The 3hundreds are two local dudes out of Sydney with music in their veins. Both guys, Adam and Sam, grew up on diverse and rich diets of classical, rock, hip hop and electronic dance music and it shows in their production and live sets. While they've made a living to-date out of banging club sets across town and interstate, it's their production work which is beginning to set them apart from a host of challengers.

Having recently had there 'We no speak Americano' remix place in the top ten entries of a Australia wide remix competition, they've backed this up with their first official release out soon, of a track called Warfare by White Russia. While in their sets they bang, in the studio they prefer a gentler approach which is testament to background as classical trained musicians. Yesterday, the pair released a re-rub of a track they've been toying with for ages. To hear it is not enough, to believe you best be on a dance floor.

Simply Red isn't (sadly) a name that most club punters will be all-too familiar with, but 'Fairground' released in 1995 is a track that a lot of people still hold dear to them. This bootleg turns the original on it's head, bringing out the jazz elements of the original in a manor that is truly guilt-laden. It's almost a crime to enjoy this, but I think the bigger crime would be not to give it a chance.

Like them on Fbook.
