MOG

Now that I am emerging from my January musical slump, I've been able to re-discover some of my favorite bands. I walked into the store and I had to purchase three new CD's. I found on the shelves Los Lobos, Wolf Tracks. Granted I'm not much for purchasing The Best Of...... CD's, but when I find that my collection is lacking, it's a nice way to acquire some of your favorite tracks all at one time. I planned on going to see the Lobos the day after Christmas, it fell thru. Maybe part of my nostalgia is due to spending time with my family in the vicinity of the east part of Los Angeles and my inability to see them perform again. It's so nice to hear these songs all over again. I can't help but want to shake my hips.

I also picked up the new Lindsey Buckingham disc and the new Muse. I can't say enough about Muse. Okay this was my only new purchase, but I have been facinated with this band ever since I heard them do an in studio visit to KROQ. They were the best sounding live band I've ever heard. I've only played the CD a few times now, but the lead singer reminds me alot of Thom Yorke.
