There seems to be a lack of Drum and Bass in the world of Mog - or i do just not know how to browse properly yet? I got the impression that D&B was big globally -yet it's all quiet on the Mogfront. Holler at the Mershy man if you love jungle!

This is the latest hip Hop Album that i ACTUALLY BOUGHT and it's pretty damn good, I'm so glad that he is still representing for the Wu tang as they've fallen off a litle bit. Having said that though i just hear the new meth tune with Lauren Hill and i think it's a winner.
Fishcale has a few good tunes, the best are 9Milli Bros, The Champ, Be Easy, The Noyo one and my favourite - Whip me with a strap (about how his old dear used to beat him - like all our mums did). He's the only wutanger who consistently reps it - what do y'all think?!

Great record. Respect to the great J Dilla for bringing the beat for that one. It's on his Donuts album in "instrumental" form and it's called "One for Ghost"; I thought, "Does that mean Ghostface?" Sure enough, it did.
and by "that one" I of course meant... "Whip Me With a Strap"
Ghostface is one my favorite emcees of all time. I find it funny how people say he "fell off" just because that's the impression they get from the way the genre has gone. Jay-Z once said "do you fools listen to music or just skim through it" and it's so true, anyone who's actually been following Ghost's career knows its quite the opposite. Sure RZA doesn't produce all the beats anymore, but rhymes-wise Ghost has only gotten better with age, if you listen to his old stuff, it was dope but half the time you couldn't figure out what the hell he was talking about. Well I could go on about this topic for days, I should probably just write a review for Fishscale and post it up. But on the Dilla tip, I read an interview with Ghost, and he said that him and Dilla didn't actually record together, he just bought the beats, he goes on to say that he just wished Dilla could've heard what he did with his music and he hopes he would've been proud. I think he certainly would have been.

What up homie. I can safely say that I am a fan of D&B as you call it. Squarepusher is slowly becoming one of my favorites, and I wrote a bit about him and Richard James on my MOG page. Welcome fellow electronica appreciator.
Great to see someone else on MOG who likes Omni Trio, Prodigy etc. Old skool bizness! I loved Breakbeat Ardkore & Jungle right through to UK garage & 2 step. You can't beat chopped breaks and ruff bass!
Have you got the new Rufige Cru CD 'Malice In Wonderland' yet? It's my favourite CD of the moment! Goldie & Heist deliver the darkside dancefloor goods....
I also got Breakage 'This Too Shall Pass'...really like this one a lot too, I'd like to get more stuff like this on the Inperspective label as well. They're more on the old skool chopped up breaks school of D n' B than most of the more modern producers.
