Legendary west coast hip hop pioneer Quik (formerly known as DJ Quik) and long time collaborator AMG have linked up to create "The Fixxers", and will release an album this summer. Their first single "Can U Werk With Dat" was released to radio in February and has been getting great rotation on the west coast.
The group is signed to Interscope Records, which may be a surprise to some longtime Quik fans, since he has taken the independent route on his last few discs. Quik & AMG are both known for their strong production skills, so this album will undoubtedly be crisp.
“Quik and I have a music chemistry that is undeniable and we literally have records to prove it. We are known for making the girls want to dance and the dudes bob their heads. People want to have fun when they go out, man, so it’s only right that we give them something to work with,” AMG said.
