At the beginning of 2009, T.I. will surrender to authorities and begin serving a 1 year prison sentence. Until then, he's serving 1000 hours of community service by speaking to at risk teens around the country. MTV will be tagging along for the next six months documenting his court ordered service up until the moment he enters jail.
The series will document T.I. recording his new album Paper Trail also, which is slated to hit shelves later this summer.
"We began the conversations in the middle of deliberations over what would happen to him," says Michael Hirschorn Ish Entertainment to Variety. "The original idea for the show had him staging a series of interventions in each episode with people in danger. But when we visited him under house arrest, it felt much bigger and more powerful than we anticipated."
