MUSIC SIGNPOSTS ON THE WEB'S LONELY ROAD

Artist:

Glastonbury organizers have confirmed that the troubled Amy Winehouse will indeed hit the stage on June 28th. Wino will play the pyramid stage directly before Jay-Z's headlining performance.

I guess this is a good slot for her because in the event that she doesn't show up, or somehow has to cut her performance short, Jay-Z will be ready to take the stage.

"I don't know how much [speculation that she is unreliable] is hot air from the press and how much is reality but she is pretty reliable actually. It's her personal life and no-one really knows the extent of what she's up to and I don't think it should be public knowledge, said festival organiser Emily Eavis.

I still haven't digested that they picked Jay Z to headline a day. Not that I have a problem with him, it's just an odd choice for a British festival, know what I mean?

Mostly indie rock and rock... Muse, Radiohead, bands like that. So you can see why the Jay Z option was one no one saw coming!

i think jay-z is gonna kill it. i'm putting money down that wino won't show up...if she does its gonna be awful. they should put duffy on instead of her. i think the whoel problem with glasto this year is that no one really wants to see the verve and that's the real reason why both glasto and coachella are doing worse this year than years past with ticket sales. who wants to see the verve perform anything but like "bittersweet symphony"? blame the verve.
