It was too good to be true! R. Kelly's trial is set to begin on Friday, May 9th... a full six years after his initial arrest. However, if his latest request is granted, who knows when it will actually start.
The latest request for a delay comes after a mystery woman came forward this weekend claiming she had a threesome with Kelly and the under aged girl. "We ask to continue the case," Kelly's lawyer Ed Genson said, "because of the torrent of publicity over the weekend."
The under aged girl Kelly is accused of having sex with is now 23 years old, and claims she is not pictured on the tape. Judge Vincent Gaughan is expected to rule on this request for a delay on Friday.
