do you guys buy ringtones or make them yourselves?

i do a little bit of both... i prefer to make them myself but sometimes i get lazy and just buy one.

If I knew how to make them - I'd be all over it... bought these - wish I'd stuck to just one or two... but it's nice to change it up here & there so I find I am using all of them... just not all at the same time. Can you imagine the noise issuing from my cell if I did ?!?

I've only got one so far, and I made it myself. It's short quotes from The Boondocks over the beat from "Neva Scared" by Bone Crusher. I think I made a post about it once.

now that you mentioned that... i wouldnt mind having "F-ck granddad" on my phone.... that was funny.

My current ringtone is "One-Eleven" by J. Dilla from his album Donuts and I've previously used two other tracks from that album: "Glazed" and "Donuts (Outro)"

Curently 'Four Sticks; by Zep. I'm bored with it but haven't thought of anything good to replace it with. Before that was Damian Marley and The Shadows 'Apache'. I have a special tone for Mrs. Ingham - 'Voodoo Chile'. It could be worse - one guy I met had the shower music from 'Psycho' for his wife.

okay, that's not a real music tone, but I use the acapella of Darth Vader breathing as a message tone and using R2-D2 beeping as the ringing tone. :))

thanks for the inspiration mr. frost..i just changed phones.. so previously was steel pulse, but for a change...is now primarily stephen marley, with options for yellowman, sizzla, and horace andy..now if only someone would call.

I'm such a snooty music fanatic that I had a devil of a time even finding ringtones I deemed acceptable. I tried one company because they offered White Stripes ringtones...turns out they didn't even have White Stripes ringtones and, once they got me, they continued to bill my AT&T bill $10.91...for nine months...it took an act of Congress to get a refund. Avoid Dada.net at ALL COSTS!!!

I finally did have success with funtonia. I got a Brendan Benson ringtone--"Cold Hands Warm Heart." I love it. I also have Wilco, "Heavy Metal Drummer."

O i love ringtones on my phone. But i never really get a chance to make them and rather buy them.
