WHERE MUSIC IS WORTH MORE THAN MONEY

Here's a little music from The Game inspired by the Sean Bell verdict on Friday.

David Banner dropped a freestyle verse while in a jam session with The Roots on Sirius radio. You can check that out below.

The Game has been a little more vocal about the case, releasing "911 Is A Joke (Cop Killer) on his official website. He told SOHH.com that he tried to get other rappers on the song but everyone declined. He went on to articulate how disappointed he is in the hip hop community on their silence pertaining to this issue.

"The hip-hop community right now is like we straight up pussies, man," the rapper said. "I reached out to a couple of artists and told them what I was gonna do and niggas ain't want no part of it."

He wouldn't name the artists that declined, only calling them, "some non-active niggas."

He also spoke about how the big New York artists are failing to respond to an atrocity that occured in their city, and theorized what would happen in L.A., suggesting there would be riots.

"Man if that happened in L.A., do you know you could see smoke form the hills?" he asked. "You look into the city, you'd see smoke and everything would be on fire. I don't know why New York is so quiet and I don't know if New York being quiet isn't the right thing to do."

I've got a lot of respect for David Banner. When he says something, I listen. he's a pretty deep individual.

I can understand Game's frustration, but I think he's going about it the wrong way. I can see why other artists didnt want to be associated with the song.
