Kanye West and his designer girlfriend Alexis Phifer have called off their engagement. The couple had enjoyed a year and a half relationship before calling it off recently.
"It's always sad when things like this end, and we remain friends,” Phifer tells PEOPLE. "I wish him the best in his future and all of his endeavors. He's one of the most talented people I've ever met."
Speaking of future endeavors, Kanye gave us the first official look at his new Nike shoe the "Air Yeezy" in a Friday blog post. In true Kanye fashion... the Air Yeezy glows in the dark (which is the theme of his new tour).
The shoes were first seen during his amazing performance at the Grammys in February.

Not diggin' the shoes. The glow-in-the-dark aspect is a nice touch, but that oversized and misplaced strap (I would have liked it near the ankle) kills what could have otherwise been a decent-looking shoe. =/

Kanye and Alexis didnt really seem like a couple that was gonna make it anyways. With that being said, I'd rock the shoes, only because they're glow in the dark.
