The drama between longtime friends and collaborators Eminem and Royce Da 5'9 has come to an end. Royce recently sat down with HipHopDX.com and gave them the exclusive on what was said, “I been talking to Em, I didn’t even really wanna tell nobody [yet]. That was kinda like a secret thing. I don’t really know where it’s gonna go. Right now we’re just really focusing on repairing the friendship. That’s the most important thing to me.”
The two men are in talks to collab on a reunion track produced by DJ Premier that will most likely be on Eminem's new album. It's unclear whether this will be a all new track, or the song Premier recently spoke about in regards to Eminem. This is what Primo had to say.
“It’s a song that he [Eminem] actually produced and he wasn’t crazy about the track,” Premier says as he recalls the conversation between he and Em. “(I told him) as long as I can strip it clean and do what I do with your vocals it will be dope,” and the final result according to Premier? “It’s dope!”
Royce and Em started speaking again due to one of Eminem's artists Cashis. The Cashis situation opened up dialog with Royce that could possibly lead to the rekindling of a great creative relationship.
“Trust me, man, it’s ‘bout to be crazy,” he aptly notes. “I’ma call [Eminem] today. I’ma stay on him and once we past… As soon as the creative part gets back into our relationship, I don’t know what’s gonna happen. I felt like I never had beef with him. It was more of a falling out between two brothers. It was just two brothers not speaking to each other for a minute. But now we speaking again. So sky’s the limit on what’s gonna happen from there.”
