During an interview with Kendra G if Power 92, Snoop got just a little defensive when asked if Dr. Dre worked on his new album. Snoop immediately said no, and gave a several minute response detailing why. Almost 15 years after starting his career, he still feels the pressure of making songs that measure up to the success of his collaborations with Dre.
Snoop went on to say that while he loves Dre, and is still on great terms with him, he prefers to work with up and coming producers instead. Working with new producers helps him creatively because they bring new ideas and create songs specifically for Snoop Dogg.
I understand everything Snoop is saying... but at the same time, his very best work will always be with Dr. Dre. They're like Batman and Robin, you can't replace that duo. You can check out the video of the interview below.
