The rumor that Nas could be dropped from Def Jam over the title choice of his new album was put to rest just as quickly as it started. Not even 24hrs after the speculation spread, Rolling Stone spoke to a Def Jam representative for an official word. “That is absolutely ridiculous and untrue,” said the rep. The album is still on track for a February release, which would also mean the promo, first single and interviews are all a little late right?
If the album is indeed being released, it seems as if it's going to be delayed again, unless they're going to "sneak" it onto shelves to avoid backlash. But that's just my opinion.

I just hope that the album lives up to all of the controversey. I am a huge Nas fan and would be completely disappointed if there is all this hype about the name and the album turns out not to be as good as we know Nas can be. Doesn't matter to me if they package it in a brown paper bag with a piece of twine tied around it, I would still buy it. I'll wait to hear!!
