It appears DMX has moved on from Sony Records after just one album. The X man left Def Jam Records after a messy breakup last year, and seemed excited to begin a relationship with Sony. The contract was for three albums, but ultimately only produced one with 2006's Year Of The Dog...Again. This new recording deal with Bodog Music will officially kick off with the release of Walk With Me Now and You’ll Fly With Me Later coming our way next year.
"I'm thankful for the fact that Bodog believes in me, that we share the same vision and the fact that they see in me the same thing I see,” DMX said in a statement. “I'll show you [Bodog Music] how it's supposed to be done, and we'll get to where we're supposed to be. You got a dog for life."
In other news, videos of DMX in a recording session popped up online this week. DMX is shown growling in a very animated booth take, he's always been a very intense individual but he's also known for his ongoing drug abuse. Was this just a passionate performance, or a man who just got his "Amy Winehouse" on? You be the judge.
YOU MUST watch this one, funny stuff. He goes from spitting poetry to talking about his security in Jamaica at the drop of a hat.
