As you may know, police raided DMX's house last month and found evidence of animal neglect. During the raid, police "rescued" twelve dogs, and also discovered the burned remains of several other dogs. Tests done on the deceased dogs reveal two of them had suffered major injuries before being burned, which may indicate dogfighting.

No charges have been filed against X yet, but with the way things are going that could change in a hurry. "Someone's going to have to pay for this," the sheriff said. "We have 12 dogs who were abused and three dogs buried in the yard — someone's going to have to pay." DMX's lawyer maintains his client had not been to the house in quite some time, and he had hired someone else to take care of the animals.
