We knew it was coming, DMX hadn't been involved in any legal squabbles since the early spring, something had to give. A judge ruled DMX must pay over 240k to a dog clothing company who produced and marketed his brand of apparel, Boomer 129.


The contract went sour when DMX failed to uphold his end of the bargain, which included promoting the brand and wearing the clothing during public appearances. Amusing Diversions Inc. was awarded the money partly because DMX refused to appear in any court proceedings that pertained to this lawsuit. DMX had also promoted competitors products, which the judge determined caused substantial damage to Amusing Diversions Inc.
Amusing Diversions also claimed DMX was less than truthful when he failed to alert him he had been charged with over 10 counts of animal cruelty in the past. In 1999 police found 13 pitbulls in X's home, and determined they were not receiving adequate care.
DMX's attorney Murray Richmond said he has never heard of this case, and X probably hadn't had anyone working on it at all.

There were also several pits buried in the back yard. Some of them burnt. This is the second time this has happened.
