Def Jam Records is seeking the help of fans around the nation to help secure a presidential pardon for soul legend Ronald Isley, who was convicted of tax evasion last year. Ron was sentenced to three years in prison, but hasn't started to serve it yet due to his recovery from a stroke, and kidney cancer. According to Def Jam, Isley will report to serve his sentence on August 7th, and they have concerns about how his health will hold up behind bars.

Isley is in the process of paying back all the money Uncle Sam determined that he owes, and has offered to perform for the troops in Iraq. Def Jam Records has posted messages on its website urging fans to write, email, and call the White House in hopes that the Scooter Libby treatment will come into effect.
