Hootie & the Blowfish delay summer tour

Fans just dying to get some of that top tier 90s pop rock in a live show will have to wait just a little bit longer. Hootie & The Blowfish have been forced to cancel four shows on their summer tour, and postpone another eight shows due to frontman Darius Rucker's staph infection.
The forty one year old lead singer has undergone three surgeries to clear the infection, and is currently rehabbing the knee. The new start date for the tour is August 10th and kicks off at Hilton Head Island. The band will still honor their TV performance on CBS's Early Show, for the fans who wanted to catch them on television. The four canceled shows are in Roslyn, Wash.; Jacksonville, Ore.; Ventura, Calif.; and Turlock, Calif.
The postponed dates are Kelseyville, Calif.; Temecula, Calif.; Anaheim, Calif.; San Diego; Livermore, Calif.; Glendale, Ariz.; Tucson, Ariz.; and Albuquerque, N.M.
