Master P To Release Album On Same Day As 50 Cent

Coming fresh off the heels of "their recent war of words through the press":http://www.sohh.com/articles/article.php/11671, Master P has decided to release an album Sept. 4th opposite 50 Cent's Curtis , Sohh reports. Master P seems to be unaware the hip hop buying public hasn't been interested in him since the late 90s.
Master P and his son Romeo are teaming up for Hip Hop History, the first father/son album. P claims the dual release dates aren't about competition, but to offer fans an alternative to the "negative" music 50 Cent will release. Hip Hop History won't contain any explicit lyrics or adult themes, unlike most hip hop offerings these days. “This record isn’t about making money, it’s about providing a choice, changing, and hopefully saving lives,” Master P said in a statement. “Before we condemn others for making a change, we should take a look in the mirror and ask ourselves, what are we doing? Are we a part of the problem or a we a part of the solution?”
One hundred percent of the proceeds of Hip Hop History will go torwards scholarships for underpriviledged children who want to attend college.
