Posted over 2 years ago
Dr. Cornel West is considered to be one of the top black scholars in America today, he currently teaches religion at Princeton, and has released several books. Dr. West plans to follow up on his 2001 album Sketches Of My Culture, but this time he's bringing along some of todays top hip hop artists. Emcees like Andre 3000, Talib Kweli, Rhymefest, The Roots' Black Thought, Killer Mike, KRS-One, M-1 of Dead Prez and Rah Digga and even Prince will contribute vocals to Never Forget: A Journey of Revelations which is scheduled for release on June 19th.

"This is an attempt to go back to hip-hop's prophetic roots," West told Billboard magazine, "Which are about truth-telling, exposing lies, and having fun."
