More than 1,000 Jackson family items will be auctioned off in Vegas next month, but MJ is reportedly trying to stop the sale. "Mr. Jackson was not aware and he is extremely upset that his memorabilia was included amongst the memorabilia that is being auctioned off," said spokeswoman Raymone K. Bain.
Items include MJ's gold record for "Thriller" and handwritten lyrics for "ABC". The Jacksons Auction is scheduled May 30-31 at the Hard Rock hotel resort.
The items were owned by a luggage transportation company, which purchased it from a New Jersey construction owner. The owner seized a warehouse full of Jackson goodies after a business venture between the two failed. Michael and Janet Jackson sued to get their items back to no avail.
