Ex-Spacehog Singer To Join Velvet Revolver??

Posted over 3 years ago

With Sebastian Bach and Scott Weiland out of the picture, ex-spacehog singer Royston Langdon is the latest candidate in the Velvet Revolver sweepstakes. The vocalist is earning good marks for the chemistry he's formed with bandmates thusfar.

"They all got along great," an anonymous insider told the magazine of recent jam sessions in Los Angeles. "It was really a refreshing change for the band." While the band's management wouldn't comment other than to say they're still auditioning singers, another unnamed source — this time at VR's label, RCA — confirmed that Langdon is "definitely in the mix."

Color me skeptical....

That could work.  Spacehog were pretty good, but quicly forgotten.  Hes got some pipes on him.  If they released that album in the past couple of years, they would have been huge.

Not sure they need to keep the VR name alive. I think the draw was, at least for me it was, was to hear a supergroup play some GNR and STP covers live. It would have been nice if they put out some great records of their own material, but it's not a big surprise that it didn't happen. I bought the first Spacehog CD, but won't be chanting for SH covers at the shows.

Slash and co. should just kill all the world's musicians except for Axl so they have no choice but to reunite one of the greatest bands of all time.
