After his first two albums "Brown Sugar" and "Voodoo", D'Angelo was set to be leader of the Neo-Soul movement and an international star. However, he never released a third LP and slipped into a downward spiral of alcohol and drug abuse.

Good read, I want to hear this damn music.
Voodoo was an amazing masterpiece. I think he really set the bar high but then he just disappeared. I remember hearing about his arrest and his drug problems and being really disappointed.
