AC/D To Kick Off World Tour In October

Posted about 1 year ago

The legendary band AC/DC will hit the road and globe trot on an 18 month tour in October, their first since 2001. The news was broken by Rob Light, managing partner at Creative Artists Agency, at the Intl. Assn. of Assembly Managers' conference and trade show. He didn't reveal any other details about the tour, but it was safe to assume they'd be on the road to promote their "Walmart only" album this fall. Their last album Stiff Upper Lip was accompanied by a 17 month tour, which immediately explains to me why they wait seven years in between projects. Can you imagine giving up a year and a half of your life to the road?

While we're on the subject of touring, Rob Light also mentioned Eric Clapton, Stevie Wonder, Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera, Depeche Mode, Shakira, Green Day, Kid Rock, Usher, Robin Williams, Mylie Cyrus, Slipknot, John Mayer, Keith Urban, Tim McGraw, and Daft Punk will also be on the road in the near future.

Cool, good to hear they're gonna tour.

Tool also takes a long time between releases because they tour for years. I know the bassist from Unwritten Law goes crazy if he's not on the road.

     Thanks for the INFO
