Beat Drop: The Neptunes (what's your favorite track?)

A little over a month ago I posted the beat drop for Kanye, now it's Pharrell's turn. In case you aren't familiar, beat drop is a series over at "Metal Lungies":http://metallungies.com/2008/07/beat-drop-the-neptunes/ that chronicles the best moments of some of the most influential producers in hip hop music.
If you have a few minutes to spare I strongly suggest you check it out, they have an allstar cast of bloggers and musicians who weighed in on certain beats crafted by the Star Trak squad. The focus of the content zeroes in on production techniques, influences, etc. They've been behind some MONSTER singles in the last ten years, so theres definitely ample material to rifle through.

One of my favorite Neptunes beats that was not included in the feature was "Young Fresh N New" by Kelis... it was gutter and futuristic at the same time... check out the video.

Another one of my faves is Mystikal's "Shake Ya Ass".... I never want to reach the age where im ashamed to yell out "BEND OVER HOE, SHOW ME WHATCHA WORKIN WIT"

By the way, a big thanks for introducing me to this Beat Drop series. I downloaded everything from the Kanye one. Unfortunately, most of the links from the Just Blaze beat drop were dead already. :(

Wow, this really is a trip down memory lane. Neptunes songs I had completely forgotten about (like the 2 off T.I.'s first album). Man, I can remember being the only nigga I knew that bumped Britney's "I'm A Slave For You" and N*Sync's "Girlfriend" (which they skipped over). I feel slightly vindicated.
Hope they do a Timbo Beat Drop. Though, I could probably do that one myself...by just compiling my old posts. :))

I've finally found another black male who liked N Sync's girlfriend. I don't feel so bad now.... I cant front I only played it when nobody else was around.
