Obie Trice Departs From Eminem's Shady Records

It looks like the best artist on Eminem's Shady Records is now a free agent. Obie Trice released a song this weekend titled "The Giant" in which he briefly describes what led to his departure.
"No more Shady, maybe it was meant
for me to branch off from my caucasian friend
no, no more second place to Eminem"
The line that goes "O is a mogul, low on the totem pole because Interscope's loco" seems to imply that Obie leaving is due to the suits at Interscope more than anything else. His last album "Second Round's On Me" flopped pretty hard when it was released in summer of 2006.

damn dog. i kinda felt like he wasn't ever gonna shine there, but I thought there'd be a little love.
when his first album came out I picked it up, and told anybody who'd listen that i thought it was better than 50's. Needless to say, I got some strange looks. I thought the second disc was probably about as good. His style is pretty ill, he can write songs, he's pretty thuggish, got lyrics: basically, if he can't make it w/ all that & have Shady's backing, I don't know what the man can do to survive in the industry; well... tour his ass off.
