According to a relative, soul singer Teddy Pendergrass has passed away in Philadelphia at the age of 59. Teddy's son, Teddy Pendergrass II confirmed his dad died tonight at at Bryn Mawr Hospital. The cause of death isn't immediately known but Teddy underwent surgery eight months ago for colon cancer and experienced a difficult recovery.
