?uestlove Holds Online Q&A Session w/ Fans About New Al Green Album

Posted about 1 year ago
If you're the type of music fan that gets sick of hearing the same run of the mill questions that journalists typically asks artists, this is the post for you. Late last week, ?uestlove held an impromptu Q&A session with fans on *"Okayplayer":http://board.okayplayer.com/okp.php?az=show_topic&forum=5&topic_id=1707768&mesg_id=1707768&page=2#1707776* regarding his work on Al Green's new album. ?uest produced 10 tracks and attempted to give the album a hip hop perspective while still creating a true "Soul" record. If you're a fan of either of these guys, or if you just want an unfiltered look at behind the scenes tidbits I suggest you head over and check it out. 1. Scribes4life says Did you listen to the album? I didn't *really* feel much of a hip hop perspective; it was more like returning Rev. Green to the sonic beauty of his soulful roots. It's a really good CD, but not what I was expecting because of remarks like the one above. Just a thought.

  2. MrFrost says well quest spoke on that a little in the Q&A session, saying people expected too much of the "hip hop" thing... when in reality it was just how he did the drums.
