Wal-Mart Ditches DRM, Now Selling Unprotected Music

In what could *"possibly"* be a reaction to being overtaken by iTunes as America's #1 retailer of music, Wal-Mart is now offering .mp3's free of DRM technology. As of now, Sony/BMG and Warner Music Group's songs are not available for purchase, most likely due to issues created while removing security on .mp3s.   2. mollifire says speaking of bizarre-o world - has anyone actually found a DRM-free download on iTunes yet? it seems to me that it's business as usual over there, despite all the big talk about iTunes offering music without the restrictive junk. or is it all just really well hidden?
