Vid: Jay-Z & Mary J. Blige On David Letterman

Posted about 1 year ago
Jay & Mary appeared on Letterman Friday (the same day of his wedding with Beyonce) and gave a pretty entertaining interview. Jay discussed why he and R. Kelly's tour didn't work out, and then the two performed "Can't Knock The Hustle".

  2. brittanybf says haha, good question, troy. it's nice to see jay being cool. i was beginning to think of him as a jerk.

  3. TroyPowers says Well, he's still kind of a jerk even in this video. He strikes me as a person who HAS to have the spotlight, no matter what the situation (take for example, Rihanna's acceptance speech at the Grammy's). Just little things like him walking out before Mary, and hogging the interview kinda rub me the wrong way.

  4. brittanybf says yeah kinda. i noticed how he walked out there before mary and all. i guess i forgot he can be 'charming' and that came through enough for me in this interview clip.

  5. TroyPowers says Oh, yeah, Jay's definitely got a swagger. Can't take that away from him. Still...he couldn't let the lady walk out first? But, hey...that's Jay.

  6. brittanybf says maybe he's always been like that? he's a larger than life kinda dude.

  7. TroyPowers says See, I think it's one of those things where he grew up the ugly kid, then he got money and fame and he's just basking in it. As he said in "Lobster and Scrimp," "Before, I never got no play. Now these bitches wanna give me more head than Sade." LOL

  8. brittanybf says money and fame sure can "transform" the ugly kids!
