A few months ago Ice Cube expressed interest in working with Nas on his upcoming "controversial" album. Once upon a time in the early 90s, Cube was regarded as one of the fiercest politically charged MC's in rap music. He's intending to revisit his roots on his upcoming album "Raw Footage" and joined forces with Nas on the "Gangsta Rap Made Me Do It" remix.
This song won't appear on Nas' album, but the two men will likely pair up for another song. "Nas, with the record that he's putting out this year, you know, it was kind of like it was the left and the right hand," Cube explained. "He's doing something on the East Coast that's a political kind of record; I'm doing something on the West Coast that's highly political, and it just seemed right. The remix is incredible, and I'm getting a good response, so I'm happy with that. Hopefully we can get it together. We been talking. It's really about scheduling and seeing when his record is gonna drop compared to mine."
