In the words of Glastonbury organizer Michael Eavis, the event will "break with tradition this time and put on something totally different,” when Jay-Z headlines the massive music festival. Early reports hinted that Kanye West was the original candidate to close the show but in the end Jay-Z got the nod.
“He will appeal to the young people and under-25s for sure, so that’s a big pull for them,” Eavis continued. “It’s not like the traditional one we do, like Radiohead, Coldplay and Muse and Oasis.” This years festival is espected to bring in close to 175,000 ticket holders when it takes place June 27 through 29. Tickets for the event go on sale April 6th.
However, fans wanting to buy tickets must register for them between today and March 14th. In order to do so, visit *http://www.glastonburyregistration.co.uk/* and enter the required info. You WILL be required to submit a photo of your face, so if you do happen to get a ticket your face will be printed on it. Measures like this were created to stamp out scalping and keep prices lower.
