MELT-PROOF AND SCRATCH-RESISTANT

Ghostface Is Angry That His Fans Illegally Download His Album

Posted about 1 year ago
While on the road with the rest of the Wu-Tang Clan, Ghostface took a few moments out of his day to record a video to his fans. Unlike the usual "I love you guys for all of the support", Ghostface lashes out at fans who illegally download his work. He pointed out the fact that he has over 100,000 Myspace friends, yet his first week album sales were below that 100,000 copies mark.
He then goes on to say he'll have personal meet and greets with fans who bring a physical oopy of his album to the concerts.

  3. TroyPowers says Hey, that was a real heart-to-heart. If you put a lot of work, heart and soul into something just to have the people you made it for shit on you, you'd have some words about it too.

  4. Scribes4life says you know I know that T. But, Ghost had to know a bunch of people was gonna bootleg his joint. That's why people say hip hop is dyin' and shit. nobody wants to buy shit anymore. Okayplayer got a report up about The Procussions being done, and they barely got a chance to make a name. Those cats are dope, but the industry blows, and hip hop fans are fickle motherfnckers.

  5. Lindsaybuggahs says what about all those people who bought it on itunes...i dont think he's getting an accurate report on his album sales and i dont think he should be basing it on myspace friends given friend bots these days and people falling out with myspace...if its a great record it will sell...did Jayz not sell millions of records with only 500,000+ myspace friends? myspace means nothing... I"ll give him props for speaking out on illegal downloading, but it is all about the music here right? i wouldn't shut out my fans who are spreading the word of a great album...keep touring Ghostface..thats where you're money's at anyways...

  6. Hattie says We're all underpaid for our talents, Killah (ask any working stiff). If he doesn't want folks to illegally download his music, perhaps he should start recording for the Manilow set (who probably has, like, a million MySpace friends... if he has a MySpace page).
