R&B Singer Nate Dogg Suffers Stroke; Paralysis

Posted about 1 year ago
Over the holiday season, hip hop's best hook man suffered a mild stroke and is currently paralyzed on the left side of his body. Nate Dogg (born Nathaniel Hale) is currently in an occupational rehab facility. As of now, Nate's rep says he's expecting to make a full recovery. There was no brain damage and his voice hasn't been affected in any way.

"Time will tell everything, obviously. The doctor can only guess what the outcome will be," McGrew said. "But based on situations with similar people his age, and based on his health, the prognosis is good right now.". Nate's representative Rod McGrew also explained what lies ahead for his client in therapy. "he hasneural-muscular issues that have to be jump-started." Those issues extend to his sense of touch and the ability to walk correctly."

  3. Uncle Bill says I suffered a stroke 5 years ago, and still have some minor residual paralysis. I've never heard of him before, but wish him all the best. Two bits of advice. Keep a diary of recovery, and get help for any emotional/psychological problems in addition to physio/occupational therapy.
