Da Brat Released From Jail; T-Pain Arrested

Da Brat has been released on a 50,000 bond following her Thursday arrest in Georgia. Da Brat, born Shawntae Harris, was being held in DeKalb County jail on felony aggravated assault charges after an incident in a nightclub owned by Jermaine Dupri. According to witnesses, Da Brat got into an argument with a waitress working at the establishment. The argument soon escalated into a shoving match and ended with Da Brat smashing a bottle of rum across the woman’s face.
It is unknown when she returns to court at this time.
Singer T-Pain was also arrested early this morning for a a non-moving traffic violation and for driving with a suspended license. The 24 year old artist was visiting his hometown before a scheduled performance at the FAMU (Florida A & M University) homecoming concert tomorrow along with Lil' Wyane, Lil' Boosie, Webbie, Musiq Soulchild and Plies.
