Da Brat Arrested For Smashing A Bottle Over Woman's Head

Da Brat, born Shawntae Harris, is currently sitting on DeKalb County jail on felony aggravated assault charges after an incident in a nightclub owned by Jermaine Dupri. According to witnesses, Da Brat got into an argument with a waitress working at the establishment. The argument soon escalated into a shoving match and ended with Da Brat smashing a bottle of rum across the woman's face.
The waitress was taken to a nearby hospital and treated for injuries to her face and eye socket. Despite being the first female rapper to go platinum, Da Brat's last appearance on the chart was in 2005, when she was featured on another group's song. She participated in last seasons edition of Celebrity Fit Club in early 2007.
