Tony Yayo Assault Trial Slated For January

A federal judge has finally set a trial date for rapper Tony Yayo, who was accused of assaulting a 14 year old boy earlier this year in New York City. Yayo (legally known as Marvin Bernard) stood before a judge yesterday and received the news that the trial would start January 10th.

"I am looking forward to a trial and it is important that justice be done," said Cynthia Reed, the boy's mother." Yayo is accused of surrounding the boy while he walked to his fathers office, flashing guns and backhanding him. Last month Tony Yayo produced a witness who knows both the alleged victim and Yayo personally, the witness will testify that Yayo didn't lay a finger on him.
Here's a clip of Tony Yayo speaking on recent legal troubles, but not his own. He's giving his opinion on the serious charges T.I. is facing and how it's bad for hip hop music.
