New Trial Scheduled For C-Murder In February

Corey Miller a.k.a. C-Murder will be tried again for second degree murder on February 11th. The new trial date was set during a conference between prosecution attorneys, the defense, and Judge Martha Sassone on Tuesday. Miller was convicted of shooting 16 year old Steve Thomas in a nightclub in 2002 (he used a fake I.D. to get in).

The conviction was overturned years later when the judge learned that the prosecution withheld the criminal backgrounds of their witnesses. The state supreme court later upheld a ruling that freed the rapper on bail. If convicted again, he could face life in prison without the possibility of parole.
Miller is currently promoting his new book Death Around the Corner.
